Slim

So much of my text contains content confusing even to me, I'm sure annoying to many, even derogate to some. I see these posts as a better lens through which to view me. I'm too often dark. I peak in sarcasm and avoidance during these comments. I'm sure some expect my mind is traveling an identical path as my body, simply the next victim of my stalker.

Damn!

I live by the grace of Amy. She is grace.

I promised a lighter post. I guess I lied. Besides, I don't have a lighter!

  1. Tracy, The way I see it, you are going to post what's in your heart....or mind. If your mind doesn't have butterflies and roses swirling around in it then it's kind of hard to write it. You are right about one thing though........Amy is grace. Your saving grace, because some of us may have taken a pot shot at you at one time or another if she wasn't so damn protective! I don't think the women even blinks does she? haha I saw Nick and Page's video on FB. Awesome!

  2. This post and it's reply is a great tool for learning. If Tracy pours out (which is good) what is in his heart and mind- that is healthy and entertaining. But the fact that this is ALL HE or others believe is rolling around in there is what is so telling. When you stub your toe it's very hard to notice the beautiful color of the sky or remember how loved you are or that this pain will soon be over. But if you were engaged in an exciting fun event at the time you hardly give it notice and often will wonder- where did I get that bruise? If you use it as a tool to be more careful and put on shoes or watch your step and move on with life then the event is useful even tho painful. If instead you become afraid to move forward and spend all your energy and focus fearing each and every step you make will bring you pain- you have effectively ended your life (as you knew it). It's not that you can't express sadness or pain or fear. It's that it's unhealthy to try to LIVE in it because that is impossible. You LIVE in FEAR of the Pain, reliving by memory what happened in the PAST. NOW is the only REAL time you have. You can learn from the past but you can not actually LIVE in the past like so many try to, blaming all their woes on events that no longer exist. It's only a thought, a memory, a tool. Your future is to imagine. That is how you create your future. If people spent as much time and energy imagining the GREAT things that COULD or MIGHT happen to them instead of imaging the worst possible things that make them fearful how different would their choices be? How would that change how they live their lives. No matter how many bad things happen to you- the SAME AMOUNT of good things are still out there to happen to you. If all you focus on are the bad things then those are what you notice and will deal with and you miss so many wonderful helpful joyful opportunities. Pollyanna out.
