Farewell

Greetings to you, Tracy's faithful blog readers.  This is Rachel, his daughter.  I just want you all to know that he is finally at peace.  He left this world yesterday afternoon without pain or distress.  Thank you for your readership.  He loved sharing with you.  Writing was one of his many, many talents.  One of the few that he could continue as the ALS progressed.
Thank you for bringing him such joy.

  2. Thank you for the update saddens me to hear this but I'm glad all was peaceful and to Tracy's family your in my thoughts and heart as well. I will be lighting a candle tonight in his memory.

Well Tracy I'm going to miss your blogs. You and your writings were truly an inspiration to me. My grandfather died of this horrible disease in Aug 19th 1999 he was a very strong man just like Tracy. I was young when my grandfather had this disease, I was a teenager but a young teenager at 14, I did not understand ALS as I do now. I just knew how fast and how horrible it progressed. I live in Illinois my grandfather lived in Missouri by the time I was able to go see my grandfather he was unable to talk. So going to visit him I did not expect what I seen a year earlier my grandpa was able to talk and everything still. But even though my grandpa could not talk and he was not in the same health condition I was used to seeing. He was still my grandpa though and I was very angry at this disease for doing this to him. Tracy help me learn so much about ALS and being in the shoes of somebody who has ALS he tought me not to be so bitter and angry that my grandfather was gone. He touched the lives of so many people I am glad even though it was on Facebook that I was able to connect with him. He loved his family so very much and he was a fighter till the end. RIP Tracy

  3. I am so sorry for your loss. Tracy was a good friend and I'm so happy we got to know all of you through Taekwondo. He will be missed greatly and while I didn't always respond to his writings I read them. Most of the time I didn't know what to say--he inspired all of us. Love you guys. 6. I knew the family from my years with the Peoria Park District and have been following his courageous journey! I would have expected nothing less from him than the all out fight that he waged...It was an honor to know him and my thoughts are with Amy and the rest of the family! Rest in Peace, Tracy!
